Bitter Moon and The Dead Girls took the MMC Platinum Entertainment stage at the Riley Co. Fair in Manhattan KS last night…

Good times with lots of friends, fair food (funnel cakes, fried oreos and roasted corn) and awesome music. Also of note: The gentleman in the yellow polo in a few of The Dead Girls’ photos is Tom Holland. He is running for Governor of Kansas. I liked his style of leadership already, but getting up on stage to rock out to a cover of “I Want You to Want Me” with The Dead Girls pretty much clinched my vote.

Tonight was a good test of the 50mm f/1.8 lens, I didn’t even bother bringing any others. No flash, just the lighting in the basement of Auntie Mae’s Parlor. Its a good thing I’ve got friends that don’t mind me snapping ridiculous amounts of photos of them – all I did during their set was tweak settings and just shoot away.
